Position Summary:
This position reports directly to the IT Project Manager and is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of all custom developed software applications for the various business divisions.
Requirements:
This position requires a thorough knowledge of the software development life cycle including requirements gathering, development and testing methodologies. A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6 years work experience in the software development life cycle required. Specific technologies required include: Visual Studio, VB.Net, C#.Net, SQL Server, ASP.Net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, MVC and XML. Knowledge of basic business and accounting practices necessary. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Position requires approximately 10% travel.
Analysis of business procedures. Manipulation of data using Microsoft Query Analyzer, Access, or equivalent. Familiarity with support tools, including Visual Studio’s native debugging tools, Spy++, MSDN library, Visual Source Safe, Team Foundation. Implementation of error checking and recovery routines. Implementation of DAO, ADO, and ODBC, or equivalent using Microsoft Visual Basic development technologies. Solid understanding of SQL including INSERT, DELETE, UPDATE, UNION, and JOINS. Capable of backing up and restoring SQL databases. Knowledge of IIS, client and server-side scripting. Ability to create preliminary end-user documentation. Capable of maintaining software and documentation revision and release libraries. Capable of providing support via telephone, PC Anywhere or on-site support when required.
